Yan JianTao

With 20 years’ experience in the industry, Mr. Yan was the Head of Policy, Industry & Regulatory Affairs at BP China. Prior to that, he was the primary equity analyst of Goldman Sachs covering oil-related majors, services, and engineering stocks in mainland China and Hong Kong capital markets. Previously he was the strategic consultant and business development manager at IHS/CERA, advising the Chinese energy and financial firms investing globally.

Under the backdrop of transforming global energy industry and China’s market restructuring, Mr. Yan specialized in analysis of the status quo, challenges and development opportunities in the oil&gas industry. He also advises on corporate business development strategy and the plan of industry growth, incorporating global management experience, analysis on behind drivers of different development stages within an industry and a corporate.

He lectures petroleum, trade, and economics at universities, and regularly speaks at industry events. Recently, he promotes the listing of China’s crude oil futures in Shanghai and was a peer reviewer of International Energy Agency’s World Energy Outlook 2017 and other publications. He was the co-author of the best-selling book Top Charts for Crude Futures.

A native Chinese, Mr. Yan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing, where he is the guest professor in industrial economics, and an MBA degree from Rice University in Houston, where he was part-time research assistant at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.

Liao Na

With over 16 years’ experience in offering analysis and consulting services for China’s energy industry, Ms. Liao Na, is specialized in policy interpretation, market analytics and trend forecasting, strategic planning and competitiveness analysis. She is a member of CPCA (China Petroleum Circulation Association)’s expert pool, one of the think-tank for NDRC (China National Development and Reform Commission) and MOFCOM (Ministry of Commerce), who participates in many international high-end industry forums as a key-note speaker.

Ms. Liao was a founding team member of C1 Energy, which was the first independent oil&gas information service provider in China. After ICIS acquired C1 Energy, Ms. Liao began to serve as the vice president of ICIS China, where she led the market analysis and consulting team of more than 200 analysts. In ICIS China, she established an integrated service solution including the collection and reporting of market update, data analytics, trend analysis, and strategic advisory for business operation. This solution helps the evolvement of ICIS both in domestic and international market.

Liu Xiang

With over 25-year experience in digital strategy, market intelligence, innovation of business solution, and customer relationship management, Mr. Sean Liu has engaged in strategic management consulting of the Fortune 500 companies, including finance, energy, chemicals, aviation, science and technology, publishing and other fields. Prior to joining GL Consulting, he was former General Manager of ICIS China under RELX Group. He led a team of more than 300 persons specialized in fields of market analysis, consulting and IT technology. It covers more than 180 commodities in the field of analytical reports serving 45 countries and becomes a leader in commodity market analysis across Asia. Before joining RELX Group, Mr. Liu was Chief Executive Officer of CBPM-KEBA, a joint venture co-funded by China central bank (PBOC) and KEBA,
